Rana Culture Walks: Alvar Aalto

kuvakollaasi Cygnaeus, Lönn, Blomstedt, Aalto

Rana Culture Walks start from the historical building Villa Rana (Seminaarinkatu 13, Jyväskylä), which today houses a Cultural Centre, and take you to the world of four renowned historical figures whose presence can still be seen and felt at the Seminaarinmäki Campus area and around. Architects Alvar Aalto, Wivi Lönn, Yrjö Blomstedt and educator Uno Cygnaeus are brought to life by dancers and actors guiding the tours. Walks presenting each of these figures run every Wednesday at 5 pm during the summer season 2022 according to the schedule below.

The duration of the tour is approximately one hour, and it suits both Finnish and English speaking audiences. We recommend using an assistant for visually or mobility impaired participants. In case of storm and bad weather and less than 10 people participating the tour will not take place.

Tickets 15 € per participant (incl. VAT) are available in advance in April 2022.

If you want to book a tour for a larger group or with your own timing, please contact info@villarana.fi for more information.
