Movie picnic: Babylon (1981)
The already traditional Jyväskylän Kesä Movie Picnic will once again take over the lovely garden of Villa Rana! In the early evening you can enjoy the sweet sounds of the DJ, followed by a moving picture around midnight.
Gals Dem Sound, a DJ group passionate about Jamaican music that started playing in Jyväskylä in 2012, will be in charge of the evening’s music. The trio’s gentle vibe focuses on reggae, dancehall and afrobeat, but their selections also include rap, soul, funk, disco and house.
The opening shots are of the exhilarating wonders of the Meat Box. The evening’s film will be Babylon (1981) 16mm, directed and written by Franco Rosso. The movie follows the main character Blue, played by Brindsley Ford, who runs a reggae sound system in Brixton. It centers on the trials and tribulations of black youth in 1980s London.
Come and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in the lush gardens of Villa Rana and be moved by the still topical social critique!

Näissä parkkipaikoissa on maksaminen mahdollisuutta vain eri sovelluksilla. Lähimmät parkkipaikat, joissa voi maksaa pankkikortilla, löytyvät Vaasankadulta ja Kauppakadun yläpäästä. Lähin parkkihalli on P-Cygnaeus, Vapaudenkatu 35.
