In the Event full of art you get to express yourself in many different art forms!

The event includes band jam with musicians, word art and movement improvisation, and making a visual art piece together.

Works of art from previous Open Art workshops by Ihme Kultti & Rapina are also displayed in the event.

Snacks and drinks are offered for the participants.

WORDS MOVING
Dialogue between creative writing and movement improvisation about loneliness and connection.

How would you express loneliness or connection by movement?

How do you write about loneliness without the word ‘loneliness’?

Texts will be used to inspire movement, and movement will inspire more movement and writing. We will write about solitude and its counterforce, compassion. Let’s feel the relationship with our body, others and surroundings. Let’s express where and how loneliness and connection feel, by words and gestures. Possibility for training spoken word, short performances consisting of poetry and/or movement at the end of each session.

Experience in writing or movement expression is not required. You can participate in both or choose one or the other.

JAMS
During jams we will explore flow-states evoked by playing music in a group with musicians of Ihme Kultti.

The jamming ensemble can be joined freely at any time, and even in the midst of playing musicians are ready to help with questions of any kind.

Usual band instruments, microphones and different kinds of percussion can be found on the spot. It’s also possible to participate with your own instrument, or perhaps just by listening and watching.
